This thesis defines the role of Cambodia in ASEAN and discusses the influence of positive growth of Cambodia in Southeast Asia.This research is based on a qualitative approach.In order to obtain and access both primary and secondary data sources including data collection from Internet, local book, Journals, informal conversation, personal observation and literature review regarding to domestic and foreign scholar will be employed.The conclusion is that Cambodia fully respects the ASEAN charter and still corporately works with other state member in order to accelerate the economic growth and being a fair facilitator in the regional problem.Totally, there are two points to consider are gain and loss.The first main point is that dealing with economic, social and cultural areas.Via joining endeavors in the spirit of equality and partnership, Cambodia has to strengthen the foundation for a prosperous and peaceful community in the region.Besides economic factor; social progress and cultural development, peace and stability in the whole region are fruitfully the crucial benefit which Cambodia wants to gain the most.More importantly,through the spirit of ASEAN, ASEAN aim to promote peace and stability though abiding respect for justice and the rule of law in relation between each and each and adherent to the principles of UN Charter.Additionally, one of the ASEAN community components is Political-Security Community (PSC) which enhances the purpose of promoting peace and security in the region.Being an ASEAN member Cambodia also aim all member countries mutually provide assistance to each other in the form training and facility for all sectors.In the relation to the knowledge and understanding of Cambodias role in ASEAN, all members of ASEAN must be aware of "one vision, one community or solidarity" in order to achieve the goal.ASEAN member states should respect the ASEAN charter in spite of violation which harm to other member benefit and should improve the Human Resource to develop the country.
