By now,the early responses of bacterial cells to hydrocarbons remain less investigated.Recently,we identified a serial of key factors involved in bacterial cell sensing,signal transduction,chemotaxis and uptake of both aliphatic and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in two marine obligate oil-degrading bacteria,Alcanivoraxdieselolei and Cycloclasticus sp.P1.Based on Omic analyses and gene functional characterization,a network was revealed respectively about alkane and PAH,that integrates different pathways of hydrocarbon assimilation,including the sensing,uptake and hydroxylation.
