Elegantimyces sporidesmiopsis, a species new to mainland China, is reported and illustrated based on the specimen collected on dead branches from Bawangling tropical forest of Hainan province.This is the first report of the genus Elegantimyces in mainland China.The examined specimen is deposited in the Herbarium of Shandong Agricultural University, Plant Pathology (HSAUP).
