This paper uses the rotor system with single span double plate as research object.The rub-impact model is established based on the Hertz contact model.The single rub-impact fault is studied in this paper, and the influence of rotate speed for the dynamic characteristics of the system is discussed.The results show that the system movement changed from period 1 through period 2 and 3 turn to period 4 with the increase of rotating speed.The research can provide a basis for the dynamic characteristics of rub-impact fault and the optimization design of rotating machinery.
