Organophosphorus epoxy resin namely diglycidylphenylphosphate (DGPP) was utilized for the study of organophosphorus liquid crystalline thermosets (LCTs) using various aromatic diamines.The effect this LCT resin on flammability, morphology, thermal and mechanical properties of blends and natural fiber reinforced composites prepared from DGPP and diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA) with Borassus fibers were investigated.Thermal stability of the composites decreased but flame retardancy improved with increasing DGPP content.
