We demonstrate a particle separation technique based on the interaction of high frequency surface acoustic waves (SAWs) with a sessile droplet carrying different diameter particles.The separation of particles of different diameters is achieved by tuning the SAW-based acoustic radiation force (ARF) and the acoustic streaming flow (ASF) induced drag force.
