Objective The purpose of this study was to test whether the use of rapid trifocal transport distraction osteogenesis (RTrDO) plused bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) can enhance osteogenesis in calvarial defects and we hope that this study can suggest a novel approach to clinically accelerate bone formation for calvarial reconstruction.
