Cyclodextrins (CDs) possess a hydrophilic exterior and a hydrophobic cavity which enable CDs to inclusion many guest molecules by size-fit effect and hydrophobic interaction, especially to enhance polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) biomineralization.Herein, the solubilization effect of β-cyclodextrins for Pyrene was investigated. The factors such as β-cyclodextrin concentrations and temperature were also presented. The results showed that, there is a linear relationship between the concentrations of β-cyclodextrin and solubilization efficiency of soil pyrene, since the inclusion compound increases the solubility of pyrene effectively. The optimal temperature for the solubilization experiment is 30℃.While high temperature does not necessarily promote the inclusion reaction. The reaction is exothermic and enthalpy is the main driving force.
