In this paper,corn straw in north cold climate regions are takenas the research object.With using the experimental method of orthogonal design,the straw size,bulk size,bulk density and moisture content are taken as influencing factors.Experiments are did on the self-made test bed in order to study the smoldering characteristics of the sectional corn straw in north cold climate regions.The results show that when the straw size is 350mm,the bulk size is 250mm×350mm×300mm,the bulk density is 40kg/m3 and the moisture content is 20%at that time the temperature in oven cavity is high,and the time of smoldering is the longest.The highest average temperature is 701.6℃,and the time of smoldering is 145min.The smoldering wave is from top to bottom.The change in temperature is from top to bottom,and gradually increased.This phenomenon belongs to a forward smoldering.
