Superconducting transition-edge sensors (TES),which have been successfully used in ground-based millimeter wave astronomical observations, are one promising detector candidate for the TeSIA(THz superconducting imaging array) instrument which is under development at Purple Mountain Observatory. Two different types of TES,the Titanium (Ti) one and the Niobium Silicon(NbSi) one, have been characterized to get electrical and thermal properties. The Ti TES is made with a micro-bridge measuring 1 μm×1 μm×37 nm.
