Based on data envelopment analysis method, this paper calculates the technical efficiency and scale efficiency of financial resources allocation in Chinas rural areas from 1985 to 2007.The results is that the technical efficiency of financial resources allocation shows the convergence characteristics, and overall of the country is in non-effective state.what s more, technical efficiency of the eastern region is significantly higher than that s in the central and western regions; the rural financial resources allocation of all country is in the stage of increasing returns to scale, while the characteristics are obvious difference in different regions.Among them, the eastem region is in the phase of decreasing returns to scale, and the western regions is in the phase of increasing returns to scale, while the central region is a combination both of the characteristics of eastern and the western region.
