Monodispersed phosphor spheres of a fine size are beneficial to forming a dense phosphor layer arising from close packing,which thus minimizes the light scattering on their surface.(Y,Tm,Ho)2O3 monodispersed spheres have been calcined from the(Y,Tm,Ho)(OH)CO3·nH2O precursors synthesized via urea-based homogeneous precipitation(UBHP)from mixed solutions of the component nitrates.
