Using electrodynamics theory,we numerically showed that light propagation direction in a metal cluster of nanometer structures can be controlled by the excited surface plasmons.We demonstrated that light may propagate normally along the opposite direction of the surface normal relative to the incident light in a periodically arranged silver prism.The light may also propagate “negatively” along the same side of the surface normal relative to the incident light when surface plasmons are excited.
