Tetracycline is one of the most important antibiotics utilizing in veterinary medicine as well as feed additives.Numerous methods have been reported for the determination of tetracyclines, such as thin-layer chromatography, capillary electrophoresis and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).HPLC is a common method that separates tetracyclines in reverse-phase mode with a variety of detection methods, like spectrophotometry, fluorimetry, mass spectrometry and electrochemistry.Among these, the electrochemical method is distinctly attractive owing to its simplicity, low cost, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range.The amperometry is widely used in electrochemical detection, and its analytical performance is dependent on the working electrode material.
