In the present work,the solid residue from hydrothermal treatment of rice straw was compressed into fuel pellet with or without Swidawilsonianaoil cake.The effects of temperature and residence time in hydrothermal treatment and oil cake addition on pelletization energy consumption and pellets properties were carried out.The decrement of energy consumption in compression and the increment of energy consumption in extrusion were achieved in hydrothermal-treated runs.As results,the addition of oil cake can reduce those energy consumptions,and enhance Meyer hardness of pellets.
