Engineering structures usually works under dynamic loads.It is difficult to deal with time-related dynamic constraint of the direct dynamic response optimization,and is very time-consuming of the sensitivity solution,so the equivalent static load method (ESLM) is used to transform the dynamic optimization into a static optimization.This paper studies the problem of finding the optimal stiffener layout of plate structures with a given volume under dynamic loads based on the adaptive growth method combined with ESLM.A mathematical model for dynamic response optimization which consists of the minimum structural dynamic compliance is established,and a KKT-based iteration formula is derived.Then,stiffeners grow up or degenerate gradually starting at "seeds" by according to their sensitivities.Several typical examples are demonstrated to validate the effectiveness of the suggested method,and the results show that this method can solve the stiffener layout problems of plate/shell structures.
