The analysis of the complex products formed during Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis is well established, yet the process is still laborious and fraught with pitfalls.This is not surprising if the diverse nature of the components is considered.Several authors have recognized that the online analysis of these streams can be advantageous, but chromatographic limitations, especially a lack of peak capacity to resolve the complex organic component of the product stream, have also limited these approaches.
