The focus of this paper is the impact of power production from solar (PV) and wind generators on the German electricity market.In the first part we present an analysis of the correlation between wind and solar production on different time scales.It is shown that wind and solar power supplement each other well on a seasonal and quarter-hourly basis.The second part is dedicated to different time series that show the electricity production by power source and how wind and solar will affect base load power generation in the future.Effects related to electricity import and export are subject of the third section.Finally time series of power production and electricity prices are presented and the change of spot market prices in recent years is evaluated.
