There was distinguished difference between Virginia type and blended type cigarette.Even the same type of cigarette from different factories differs from each other because of the different materials, manufacture process and additives used in the production of cigarette.So each brand of cigarette has its own brand characteristics which differentiate it from others.Cigarette smoke condensate is a very complex matrix that contains thousands of different compounds.These compounds form the taste and flavor of the cigarette.Usually sensory evaluation was performed to judge the flavor and taste of cigarette but the relationship between brand characteristics and flavor compound was not clear.In this paper, the particulate phase of cigarette smoke condensate was collected by a single channel smoking machine, extracted by simultaneous distillation extraction, and analyzed by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled to time of flight mass spectrometry.
