In a recent work [1],we have shown that Navier–Stokes(NS) granular hydrodynamics with the diffusion coeffients derived from the(inelastic) Boltzmann equation describes very well thermal diffusion segregation of an impurity in a low-density granular gas in certain steady states with uniform heat flux.
