Objective Alzheimers disease(AD)is the most common form of dementia.With increased life expectancy,this number is expected torise in the future.AD is characterized by progressive memorydeficits,cognitive impairment,and personalitychanges associated with the degeneration of multiple neuronal types andpathologically by the presence of neuritic plaques and neurofibrillary tangles.Transplantation of bone marrow stem cells(BMSCs)has been suggested as a potential therapeutic approach to preventneurodegenerativediseases including AD.However,the actual therapeutic impact of BMSCs and their mechanism of action in AD have not yet been ascertained.The aim of this study was therefore to examine the effects of BMSCs therapy in AD.
