Multidrug resistance(MDR) is a major obstacle to successful cancer chemotherapy,and novel biologically based treatment strategies that can overcome MDR are urgently needed.1,2 In this study,a series of novel nitric oxide(NO)-donating bifendate derivatives(7a-n) were synthesized and evaluated for their anticancer activities in both conventional therapy-susceptible and-resistant tumor cells.
