By applying digital holographic interferometry, diffusion in liquid phase of pure alcohol and water is observed.Recording digital hologram by Transmission Mach-Zehnder interferometer and reconstructing digital hologram of object beam by gray scale analysis are adopted to acquire phase variation of object wavefront in diffusion process at different times and the curve of refractive index change in the diffusion area.The result shows that by applying digital holographic interferometry, fast, real time and high-accuracy diffusion can be realized.Moreover, this method can realize visual remote monitoring.
