It Was the objective of this study to construct a model of theuterine vascular supply through Vascular casting and thinslicecomputed tomography scanning.TlIis will provide ateaching aide for the understanding of uterine arteryembolization(Uae)procedures,as well as normal uterine andovarian arterial anatomy.Using 20%chlorinated poly vinylchloride,we infused and cast a set of a normal uterus, vaginaand bilateral adnexa through the uterine artery and ovarianartery.after thinslice CT scanning.we obtained thethree-dimensional(3D)construetion by maximum intensityprojection(MIP)and surface-shaded display(SSD),and thenobserved its figure.and characteristics.a modeI of the uterinevascular supply tail be successfully reconstructed by vascularcasting and thin slice CT Manning. The 3D reconstructionoflers a clear view of the course of the uterine artery and itsblood supply distribution. It has two major branches:Theintramular uterine branch and the cervicovanal branch(1).Blood supply is generally unilateral, with communicatingbranches between the two sides and possible arm.qtomosesbetween the arterial blood supply of the uterus and the ovaries. The major blood supply of the cervix comtfrom theeervicovagihal branch of the uterine artery。While the vaginalarterial supply derives directly from the internal iliac artery. The CT technique allows real——time 360rotation and ehgesin model for in-depth study of the VSS4PU—lar network and itsadjacent tiues. It is possible to tnstruct all in vitro uterinearterial network by vascular casting and CT scanning, whichcan provide unique insight into the~male genitourinary systemarterial network.Based on this.we can create reconstructions aswell as models for diHerent diseases such as leiomyomata.Adenomyosis, and endometrial cancer.Thesemodels will providemorphological evidence to the interventional therapy and Uaeteaaehing in Obstetrics and Gynecology.Key words:Human.Uterine artery, vascular casting, computed tomography.Three—dimensional, uterine artery embolization
