This paper is concerned with sample path properties of anisotropic Gaussian random fields in general.In particular, we establish Fernlque-type inequalities and utilize them to study the global and the local moduli of continuity for anisotropic Gaussian random fields.Our main theorems are applied to fractional Brownian sheets to improve existing results in the literature.
