Objectives To analysis the changes of cardiac structure and function in early stage ager lung transplantation, and to explore the changes of cardiac structure and function. Methods From 2002 to 2009, 22patients accepted lung transplantation in Wuxi People's Hospital. These patients' echocardiography of preoperative and postoperative changes was study to understand the change of cardiac structue and function, and the relationships between decreased pulmonary artery pressure and significant differences in cardiac structure and function were analyzed in Pearson linear correlation or Spearman rank correlation. Results Compared with preoperative echocardiography, systolic pulmonary artery pressure decreased significantly, and right ventricular dimensions zoomed down, tricuspid valve regurgitation and pulmonary valve regurgitation reduced, left atrial diameter and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter were enlarged, stroke volume increased, but left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)was decreased after lung transplantation, those differences above were statistically significant (p <0.05).Correlafion analysis showed the greater degree of decreased systolic pulmonary artery pressure after lung transplantation, the larger rate of increased postoperative left atrial diameter and left ventricular end diastolic diameter, and the bigger range of decreased right ventricular diameter and postoperative LVEF(p <0.05).Conclusions In early stage after lung transplant, right heart structue had been normalization, right heart function had improved, left heart had enlarged, stroke volume had increased, but left ventricular function had reduced, there were a correlation between those changes and reduced systolic pulmonary artery pressure.
