This paper introduces the achievements that Guizhou Province has made in the construction of accessible environments from such aspects as the construction of accessibility rules and regulations, the construction of accessible facilities in urban public places, the construction of accessible cities and counties and accessible environment transformation for families with persons with disabilities.But problems such as insufficient fund, imperfect laws and regulations, unbalanced development, low coverage of accessible public facilities in urban areas and low awareness of accessible environment construction still exist in the construction of accessible environments in Guizhou.In the future, the government should establish and perfect organizations;accelerate the institution and promulgation of relevant laws and regulations;intensify the regulation and management;advance the construction of accessible environments in small towns;earnestly carry out accessible environment transformation for families with persons with disabilities;and strengthen public awareness of "accessible environment" in the whole society.
