Since the National healthcare policy has been implemented in 1994 in Taiwan, all dental treatments are coved by this national health insurance, except for the orthodontics, prosthesis and esthetic dentistry.The population of Taiwan is 23 million.The budget for oral health care coved by national health insurance is 1.2 billion us dollars each year.
