Herbal and traditional medicines such as traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) are well-known for their clinical efficacy, experiences, and resources, and deemed as a valuable medicinal repository.The development of these traditional medicines towards modem forms of therapeutic drug products requires a major breakthrough in methodologies and technologies.This presentation is to give a mini-review and prospect in the modem research of TCM.
