OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between serum homocysteine concentration and renal injury in healthy elderly Chinese men.METHODS: A cross sectional study was conducted based on the data collected from annual health check in 2014 in our hospital.A total of 349 male subjects, aged over 65, with no history of smoking and alcohol consumption less than 1-2 times/month were enrolled in the study.Subjects with history of severe cardiocerebral vascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and recently taking nephrotoxicity drugs were excluded.
