An apparatus concept is presented for scalable production of hydrogen gas from lignocellulosic biomass sources.Using a patent pending design,a practical implementation is studied theoretically to assess the capital costs per quantity of hydrogen produced.An economic model of the hydrogen cost based on using agricultural or sylvan residues is used to compare this bio‐hydrogen to conventional methods of producing,transporting,and storing hydrogen.
