　　Powders and ceramics of Sr-Bi-Mn-O Manganate composites were prepared by sol-gel method with utilizing the glacial acetic acid and ethylene glycol,the temperature of crystallization was at about 600℃.SrCO3 as the impurity,could be removed by calcination in oxygen-rich atmosphere and appropriate nitric acid pickling.
