As one of the nondestructive testing and evaluation technologies,acoustic emission testing is an important method.During the testing process,no prior knowledge of the exact location of the damage source is obtained,and the distance between the damage source and the sensor is uncertain,the identification accuracy of the damage source depends on both damage intensity and the distance between the source and the sensor.Therefore,the propagation characteristics of acoustic emission wave through the tested structures have a strong influence on the detection accuracy.This paper,contrapose the issue of the low location accuracy in the acoustic emission nondestructive testing,studied the propagation of the acoustic emission wave through the metal plate by using experiment and simulation.
