The LiFePO4/Graphene precursor has been synthesized on the base of pH and temperature control using LiOH, H3PO4 and FeSO4 as raw materials, polyethylene glycol as chelate and morphology modification. Also the Graphite oxide (GO) nanosheets suspension was synthesized from natural graphite powder by a modified Hummers method with a pre-oxidation treatment. Then graphene-modified LiFePO4spherical composite as a Li-ion battery cathode material was prepared with LiFePO4 precursor and graphene oxide nanosheets by one in-situ hydrothermal-reduction route and annealing processes at different temperature under an inert atmosphere. The structure and morphology of the composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) etc.Experimental results showed that a fime olivine crystal structure and uniform nano-spherical morphology was obtained at different temperature and in the process of this treatment the graphene was coated and wrapped on the surface of LiFePO4 particles to in situ form nanoscale carbon conductive webs structure which could make the composites attain a high electric conductivity.
