Background Transcatheter mitral valve repair (MitraClip) is a safe and effective procedure for the patients of surgical high risk or inoperable moderate-to-severe or severe mitral regurgitation (MR).Up to now,over 10 000 MitraClip procedures have been performed worldwide since 2008.The team of Prof.Ge Junbo from Zhongshan Hospital in Shanghai and ours stared to perform MitraClip procedures in China.
