The Chinese chive fly,Bradysia odoriphaga Yang & Zhang(Diptera: Sciaridae)is a most serious pest of Chinese chive,Allium tuberosum.It is difficult and low efficient to control B.odoriphaga because the larvae feed on the roots and stems of Chinese chive in the soil.We studied the courtship behavior and sex pheromone component of B.odoriphaga to explore new ways to control this insect.
