2-HPA is a new drug to cure the Parkinsons disease and only the R-isomer has the pharmacological activity.In order to separate 2-HPA we have tried many methods and found that capillary electrophoresis was an efficient way.Further more, the precursor 2-HA and outgrowth 2-HPPA were also separated.Because there are not ultraviolet absorbing groups in 2-HPA and 2-HA, dansyl chloride was chosen to derivatize 2-HPA and 2-HA.2-HPPA was separated directly.
