Tanshinone diterpenoids are the major bioactive components of the traditional Chinese medicinal plant Salvia miltiorrhiza.Their biosynthesis is initiated from(E,E,E)-geranylgeranyl diphosphate(GGPP) by sequential reactions catalyzed by copalyl diphosphate synthase(CPS) and kaurene synthase-like(KSL) cyclases.
