Plant hormone auxin plays crucial roles in multiple developmental processes.The polar auxin transport (PAT), which is mediated by the auxin influx and efflux carriers, is responsible for the basipetal, long-distance movement of auxin from the apical site(s) of auxin synthesis to regulate the plant growth and development.
