Addition of dimethylacetamide (DMA) with 4-iodobenzenesulfonyl chloride gave milk-white solution of innersalt. The innersalt was dissolved in acetone and placed in moist chamber. Then the innersalt was hydrolyzed and formed a water disolvate. The crystals were obtained by evaporating acetone slowly at room temperature. The structure of crystals (tide compound,C10H16INO5S) was characterized by 1HNMR and single crystal diffractometer. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic system, space group Pca21 with a =14.173(3) (A),b =7.7480(15) (A),c =13.272(3) (A),α =90.00°,β =90.00°,y =90.00°,V=1457.4(5) (A)3,Dc =1.774 g/cm3,Z =4,F(000) =768,μ =2.352 mm-1,and the final deviation factor R =0.0626 and wR =0.1604 for 1096 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I).In the molecule, innermolecular hydrogen bonds between C(2)-H(2B)---O(1) and C(8)-H(8A)---O(4); intermolecular hydrogen bonds between O(W)-H(WB)---O(2),C(1)-H(1B)---O(3),C(5)-H(5A)---O(1) and C(6)-H(9A)---O3) are observed.
