The regulations governing the conduct of clinical research have become more complex,placing a greater burden on investigators in terms of compliance,documentation,and training.There are clear benefits to perform clinical trials in developing countries:increasing interest of pharmaceutical companies for the chance to overcome regulatory barriers,where the population size alone offers the promise of expanding markets,fostering positive relationships among clinician investigators and answering questions about the safety and efficacy of drugs and devices that are of interest throughout the world.
